ConGRADulations, Berna

Just a few raw files from my shoot with brotha-from-an-alternate-motha, Enzo Mangubat
(and a borrowed sash from my roomie, Ariel).

More to come!

What?!

After 1 semester at the University of California, Berkeley, 1 semester at Universita Cattolica in Milan, Italy, and 3 years spent bike-cruising through the brick paths of Los Angeles…

I am graduating on May 13, 2011

from the University of Southern California

Annenberg School for Communications & Journalism

with a Bachelor of Arts in Public Relations.
.

And I’m hella excited.

What are you doing after graduation?

Starting in June, I will be living out my #1 childhood dream in, literally, the best job I can imagine:

Working full-time as the Executive Assistant to the Editor in Chief of Seventeen Magazine.

Still digesting the total shock and excitement.
I’m sniffing out a Manhattan sublet as we speak (and would love to hear from you if you have any tips!).

How are you celebrating?

I’m going home, man. I felt weird having a “me” party — it’s like having my own birthday party when it’s 45,000 other people’s birthdays — so I’m inviting all my close graduating friends to my house for a Woo-Hoo Potluck. We’re gonna turn on Guitar Hero, play a lot of 10 Fingers and celebrate each other. It’s about us. We did it.

Well, what size turtleneck are you? I’d like to give you a gift!

You are so kind. Really. But allow me to convince you otherwise.

All I want for graduation is to be living and working in New York. But as you know, it’s a very expensive city, and I’ve worked really hard throughout college to be financially independent.

All I want for graduation is help to live out my dream.
Friends & fam, all I want for graduation is money
(& I’ve made it super easy to give by clicking below)!

.

Don’t need no iPad 2; don’t need no Starbucks gift certificates. Any cent you can donate towards rent, food, or desperate late night cab fare is the best gift I can think of. I’ve made it super easy for all my friends & family abroad – all you have to do is click the picture above (or here) to donate through my super-secure PayPal site.

You can use your PayPal account, any major card, blah blah blah, you know the drill!
I’d love it if you left me a nice message, too.

Well, that’s pretty smart.

Thanks.
No, seriously, thanks.

Thank you, Rachel! Yes, focus, but not TOO hard — the point is to enjoy it all, right? Thank goodness for friends with SLR/fancy cameras. Get in your robes and do all the things you’ve always wanted (I tried to jump on a big horse statue on campus, for example). Congrats, chica!

Wow congrats girl! I don’t know if we’ve ever officially met, but I remember you as a youngin in South City as Andrew’s little sister haha. I’ve briefly followed you through the years (I do the creep) since you were on that Freshman 15, and have always heard of your successes from mutual friends every so often. Congrats on all that you’ve worked hard for! It’s incredibly well deserved.

We’re both in the marketing/PR field (I’m in the music industry right now) and I would love to swap ideas and such with you!! If you’re ever up for a digi-pow-wow, let me know!

Anyway, congrats again and can’t wait to creep on all your future stories ahead haha.
